All New Bajaj V15

Bajaj V15 has received tremendous response from buyers across the country, and proof of it lies in the fact that the bike has garnered over 10,000 bookings so far. Considering the increasing demand, Bajaj Auto is planning to ramp up the bike’s production to 1,000 units per day in coming days. Priced at Rs. 62,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Bajaj V bike is positioned above the Discover 150, and caters a niche segment. Though, it might also affect the sales of Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha R15 and other premium 150cc bikes in India.

The company is offering a compulsory accessory package that costs an additional Rs. 1,000, while the stock Bajaj V bike is priced at Rs. 61,000. Deliveries of the bike commenced from 23rd March 2016 – the day that is celebrated as ‘Shaheed Diwas’ in India. For people not in the know, the Bajaj V bike was unveiled just prior to the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo at an event in Delhi.

What makes the Bajaj V 15 a special bike is the fact that it is made using the Indian Navy’s first aircraft carrier – INS Vikrant. With scrambler + cafe racer like design elements, the Bajaj V15 targets the executive segment buyers. This will help the company grow its volumes in the fast-growing premium commuter category. In terms of design and styling, the Bajaj V looks a lot better than the Pulsar AS150. The home-grown two-wheeler maker might introduce more products under Bajaj V range across different segments.

The company says that the new Bajaj V15 is not an ordinary bike. Its upright stance signifies solidity and attributes of the invincible INS Vikrant. What further makes it special is its mighty DTSi engine and a range of class-leading features.

The Bajaj V bike is made from INS Vikran’t metal that had played a crucial role in 1971 Indo-Pak War. First commissioned in 1961, the INS Vikrant served the country for over 36 years before finally getting decommissioned in the year 1997. After that it was kept as a museum ship in Mumbai, and was sent to scrapyard in January 2014. “But we were determined not to let history fade away into oblivion. So, we took INS Vikrant’s metal, melted it and gave it a new face – Bajaj V.”, said Bajaj Auto.

Bajaj claims that the bike’s trapezoidal headlamp is 60% brighter than other bikes. Its large fuel tank made up of the invincible metal of the INS Vikrant that provides it strength and solidity. Throughout history, scientists have totally changed the way we see the world. From the theory of general relativity that helps us understand our Universe to the discovery of radioactive elements used throughout medicine today, without the work of people like Albert Einstein and Marie Curie, the world would be a very different place.

But just how well compensated were these great minds for their pioneering research? Stephen Pritchard from Adzuna did some digging into the salaries of history's best-known scientists, and updated them to today's currency, based on inflation rates. And the results are pretty surprising.

Not only are the salaries overall pretty low when you consider just how influential these researchers were - Einstein earned the most at US$173,000, which is pretty impressive, until you compare it to what today's lawyers are earning - they're also incredibly inconsistent.

For example, while the undeniably impressive Galileo Galilei earned around US$141,155 back in the 1600s for his contributions to astronomy, German astronomer Caroline Herschel was only paid $7,199 for discovering eight comets in the late 1700s.

Obviously sexism was an issue back then, but even between the guys, things don't really add up, with astronomer Edwin Hubble earning just $20,559 in 1919.

But before you get too mad, a lot of that inconsistency can be explained by the fact that these salary estimates were taken at different points in each of the researchers' careers - and only reflect one year, not a lifetime, of earnings.

"Einstein’s genius was well-established when he arrived at Princeton University for example, while Newton was almost 20 years away from publishing his theory on gravity," writes Pritchard.

Also, simply using inflation data to convert money from hundreds of years ago to today has its problems, so the comparisons aren't as straightforward as they appear.

But even as a rough guide, the infographic is still fascinating insight into how scientists were valued back in their day, and how our earnings today compare. You can see a zoomable version here.

Hope you found this good. Thank you.

Ravindra Jadeja with his fiancé Riva Solanki

Gujarat Lions all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will miss Saturday’s Indian Premier League match against Mumbai Indians as he is all set to tie the nuptial knot with fiancé Riva Solanki in Rajkot on Sunday.

“Ravindra Jadeja is not going to play today’s match and has not come to Mumbai with the team as he is getting married tomorrow,” sources in Gujarat Lions team said.

“It is also not sure whether he would be available for game against Sunrisers Hyderabad to be played on April 21,” sources said adding that the game is to be played in Rajkot and therefore there are still chances of Jadeja playing in that match.

The new entrant in the ninth edition of IPL has so far played well, registering two wins in two matches.

Jadeja, one of the team’s key player, played well in the game against Rising Pune Supergiants where he took two wickets and conceded only 18 runs in his four-over spell.

Sources also said that Gujarat Lions team members are expected to attend the wedding reception Sunday evening.

UBI TOWER, KOLKATA, Panel – 1, Date: 18.01.2016 , Time: 8: 30 AM

Background: Electrical Engineering (2015)

Entered the venue at 8: 20 AM, at around 8: 50 the attendance was taken and I was the last in the panel!

The TCS guys were having some issues with Bio-metric Match so it started late, but the Document verification went smooth.

I was called inside at 2:35 and there was a gap of 6-7 minutes after the previous interviewee left, I was alone out there and it was killing me. The lunch for the interviewers was ready on a desk beside me.

How pathetic.

Anyway, the wait was over with the bell. Interview lasted for 13-14 minutes only.

Panellists: M1 – M2 (was leading the panel) – M3 – M4 – F1

May I come in please (with a smile)

M2: Yes please come.

Wished the Sirs, wished Mam separately.

They wished me back and M2 said to take my seat, I said thank you and took the seat.

M2: So Arpan, you are the last one to be interviewed? How was your feeling as you were the only one outside and everyone have left for their home, you must be feeling very unlucky ha?

Me: Not that much sir, I was getting a little tensed.

M2: You are a B. Tech in? and passing year?

Told.

M2: so what are the exams you are giving?

Me: Exams for Bank and insurance sector job.

M2: Why both? Can you name any two insurance company?

Explained well, Told.

Then he asked me a question on insurance that I was feeling hard to understand, then mam came in my help saying, "sir wants to know if bank has anything to do with insurance".

Told. I thanked Mam. They looked satisfied.

M2: what is the name of your university? (he was checking my provisional degree certificate)

Me: Sir it was known as WBUT but recently it is changed to Maulana Abul kalam Ajad University of Technology when I was in last semester.

M2: Do you know who he was?

Me: I told about him a little but he wanted to hear something more. ( as I was not sure, didn’t take a chance to tell the education minister thing)

He said ok and asked M1 to take the lead. M1 was just going to ask something and M2 interrupted.

M2: one last question, tell me how will your engineering degree help bank?

I was just waiting for it. Made a bang with my perfect answer.

Now M1: how does bank help unemployed youth and economically backward people?

Fumbled a bit, but Told.

M1: you know what is self help group?

Told

M1: name Any central or state scheme for them.

Couldn’t Recall.

He said ok, and M3 started.

M3: Why do we export? (My first preference is ECGC )

Told

M3: what does our country gain through Export?

Told, he was not that satisfied.

M3: what is invisible export?

Me: Sorry sir I don’t know.

He nodded his head and asked M4 to proceed.

M4: ECS, GST?

Told both.

Me: yes sir.

Me: United bank of India

M4: where is the Headquarter?

Me: Sir this is the headquarter of UBI (with a big smile)

Everyone smiled looking at me.

M4: what are the services you get from your account?

Told.

And lastly mam started asking.

F1: how banks earns profit?

Told

F1: What are the Expenses of bank?

Told some, but she said there is another big expense. Which I could not tell.

F1: your account in the bank is its expense or earning?

As mam was very co- operative I tried to answer it with explanation, but it didn’t work
that much.

She said as bank is giving you interest you should say its their expense.

I said thank you mam.

Now M2 said you can leave now.

I wished them A good day with smile and they wished me luck.

I thanked them and left.

That’s all.

No introduction, No family Background check & no question from Graduation.

Panel was pretty helpful.

I hope what i shared will be helpful. Enjoy the interview. All the best.
