UBI TOWER, KOLKATA, Panel – 1,

Entered the venue at 8:
20 AM, at around 8: 50 the attendance was taken and I was the last in the
panel!
The TCS guys were
having some issues with Bio-metric Match so it started late, but the Document
verification went smooth.
I was called inside at
2:35 and there was a gap of 6-7 minutes after the previous interviewee left, I
was alone out there and it was killing me. The lunch for the interviewers was
ready on a desk beside me.
How pathetic.
Anyway, the wait was
over with the bell. Interview lasted for 13-14 minutes only.
Panellists: M1 – M2
(was leading the panel) – M3 – M4 – F1
May I come in please
(with a smile)
M2: Yes please come.
Wished the Sirs, wished
Mam separately.
They wished me back and
M2 said to take my seat, I said thank you and took the seat.
M2: So Arpan, you are
the last one to be interviewed? How was your feeling as you were the only one
outside and everyone have left for their home, you must be feeling very unlucky
ha?
Me: Not that much sir,
I was getting a little tensed.
M2: ok. where are you
from?
Me: Told the place.
M2: Hearing the place
he said Nadia district right?
Me: yes sir.
M2: So now you are
coming from Nadia Directly?
Me: No sir I came here
yesterday and now I am coming from my uncles’, he stays near Raj Bhawan.
M2: Where near Raj
Bhawan? we are also very close to that area. And you know who is the Governor
now?
Told.
M2: You are a B. Tech
in? and passing year?
Told.
M2: so what are the
exams you are giving?
Me: Exams for Bank and
insurance sector job.
M2: Why both? Can you
name any two insurance company?
Explained well, Told.
Then he asked me a
question on insurance that I was feeling hard to understand, then mam came in
my help saying, "sir wants to know if bank has anything to do with insurance".
Told. I thanked Mam.
They looked satisfied.
M2: what is the name of
your university? (he was checking my provisional degree certificate)
Me: Sir it was known as
WBUT but recently it is changed to Maulana Abul kalam Ajad University of
Technology when I was in last semester.
M2: Do you know who he
was?
Me: I told about him a
little but he wanted to hear something more. ( as I was not sure, didn’t take a
chance to tell the education minister thing)
He said ok and asked M1
to take the lead. M1 was just going to ask something and M2 interrupted.
M2: one last question,
tell me how will your engineering degree help bank?
I was just waiting for
it. Made a bang with my perfect answer.
Now M1: how does bank
help unemployed youth and economically backward people?
Fumbled a bit, but
Told.
M1: you know what is
self help group?
Told
M1: name Any central or
state scheme for them.
Couldn’t Recall.
He said ok, and M3
started.
M3: Why do we export?
(My first preference is ECGC )
Told
M3: what does our
country gain through Export?
Told, he was not that
satisfied.
M3: what is invisible
export?
Me: Sorry sir I don’t
know.
He nodded his head and
asked M4 to proceed.
M4: ECS, GST?
Told both.
M4: Do you have a bank
account?
Me: yes sir.
M4: which bank?
Me: United bank of
India
M4: where is the
Headquarter?
Me: Sir this is the
headquarter of UBI (with a big smile)
Everyone smiled looking
at me.
M4: what are the
services you get from your account?
Told.
And lastly mam started
asking.
F1: how banks earns
profit?
Told
F1: What are the
Expenses of bank?
Told some, but she said
there is another big expense. Which I could not tell.
F1: your account in the
bank is its expense or earning?
As mam was very co-
operative I tried to answer it with explanation, but it didn’t work
that much.
She said as bank is
giving you interest you should say its their expense.
I said thank you mam.
Now M2 said you can
leave now.
I wished them A good
day with smile and they wished me luck.
I thanked them and left.
That’s all.
No introduction, No family Background check & no question from Graduation.
Panel was pretty
helpful.
